ChemOil-Away™
for Emergency Service Providers
Principal considerations in emergency response activities is the
protection of response workers and protection of property and the
environment. Responders frequently use sorbent pads, pillows and socks; yet
frequently the use of bulk sorbent is preferred. Use of ChemOil-Away
provides advantages that include:

- Effective capture of free liquids from hard surfaces such as
concrete and asphalt
- Effective capture of free liquids from cracks in hard surfaces and
from surficial soil spills
- Control of toxic vapor release
- Control of flammable vapor release
Responders open a bag of COA and apply a line of bulk sorbent at the
perimeter of the spill area in order to prevent the further spread of
released material. Sorbent is then spread toward the center of the spill so
that not only is the spilled material captured, but a safe, non-slippery,
non-contaminating surface is provided for capture and recovery efforts in
